Cyrial Vedykarbutt

10 yr old "Kalashtar" Male, Parents were visiting businessmen, murdered in House Vadalis 6 months ago by an unknown assassin; because of this he holds a grudge against all members of House Vadalis. Performs tragedies, can cry on command. He has some psychic abilities due to his lineage, but is still very young and does not have much control over it, Oliver has found out that he has them and not to anger him. He is Thrash's favorite orphan and is treated as such.


Actual (Secret) History

Cyrial is in fact the child of a pair of Inspired agents of the dreaming dark, hosts to Tsucora Quori. The two parents had brought Cyrial along with them on a mission to Khorvaire from Sarlona, a mission to abduct Torion ir' Vadalis and use him as bait to capture the Kalashtar agent, Nevimelk. The mission went awry when the dark lanterns caught wind of the scheme and alerted Nevimelk, who then sent two of his agents of the Skullminds to put an end to his pursuers, unaware they had a child with them.
When the deed was done and the inspired abducters lay dead on the floor of the Vadalis compound, they found the boy crouched in a corner where he had been told to hide as soon as the fight broke out. With no-one to take care of the boy he was sent to the orphanage until he could be placed with a proper family. It was here that Thrash ir'Tharashk found and recruited him.
Cyrial is thus not a Kalashtar, and is instead an Empty Vessel. He looks similar to a Kalashter or a human, with very sharp but distinguished looks, and purple eyes. Those are the only physical characteristics which set him apart. He has not received the full extent of his training as an empty vessel but he is physically well-suited for possession, and so may become a vessel for a Quori Spirit, fiend, or whatever else decides to use him.

Naturally Psionic (Ex): Empty vessels gain 1 extra power point per character level, regardless of whether they choose a psionic class
Greater Psionic Endowment: +2 to Power Save DC
Skills: An empty vessel receives 4 extra skill points at 1st level and 1 extra skill point at each additional level. (The 4 skill points at 1st level are added on as a bonus, not multiplied in.) Knowledge (the planes) is always a class skill for empty vessels.
— +2 racial bonus on Bluff, Diplomacy, and Intimidate checks. Empty vessels are masters of social interaction, influencing others through their commanding presence and subtle psychic powers.
— +2 racial bonus on Disguise checks made to impersonate a human, due to their close physical resemblance to humans.

Age: Due to Young Age, Cyrial has -2 Str, -2 Con, -2 Wis and -2 Int. Once he reaches 16 these penalties will be removed, he will gain hit points and his saves will be adjusted. Also his size increases to Medium, changing his speed to 30 feet and removing the -4 grapple.
Proficiencies: Simple weapons, plus the longsword, rapier, sap, short sword, shortbow, and whip. Proficient with light armor and shields (except tower shields).

At third level will take Crowd Tactics from Races of Dragon.
