Cliffton Working Class Commoner On the Street: "It sure does smell less with all the trash out of the gutters and into the dump. That part of town is kind of grimy what with the tenements and mill and that garbage smell though, oh well, my part of town is nice, and The Black Chapel is right next door to meet my religious needs. I wish there was something to do for entertainment over the winter however; a nice warm tavern would be great."
Cliffton Lower Class Lumbermill Worker: Man it's hard work at that mill, and now the dump nearby smells like hell, and to make things worse my next door neighbor in the tenement had her 8th kid a couple nights ago so I can't even sleep without hearing that blasted screeching. What I would give for a good drink, or some good female company, a brothel would be fantastic! Surely Darkusha could see the merits to the worship of The Fury a brothel would bring. It wouldn't hurt to sink some money into these slums either, maybe fix the place up a bit.

Pavil d'Lyrandar: I would like to come live on your island and bring the business of House Lyrandar to your quaint little community. I do not believe it is quite up to my standard of living yet though. If you were to provide me with a nice Noble Villa, build some sort of Venue for Entertainment (Tavern, Arena, Theater, etc) and maybe convince a few more businesses to set up shop, I could be convinced to come up and live in the villa. With me comes strong connections to House Lyrandar, who could be persuaded to help chip in some funds towards establishing a guild outpost in Cliffton (Guildhall and Piers for 26BP, instead of 50BP), and maybe even help fix up that busted old Airship tower for some actual use. Contact me when you think your town is ready to be graced with my presence.

Priest at The Black Chapel: "We've started moving the bodies of the deceased from their temporary resting place below the Chapel to the new Keeper's Yard. I thought I should let you know that there are a few bodies unaccounted for by our records, I've kept it hush hush and fudged a few of the records to cover our backsides but I thought I should notify you just in case you wanted to investigate."

Shadowy Informant: A Tigrin Monk has been teaching his brand of kung-fu magic and meditation to guards and prisoners alike in the Cliffton Lock-Up. It started out as a simple class, but attendance and frequency of instruction has been growing extraordinarily fast, as well the Monk Masha Liong, has been getting some very nice jailhouse privileges as a result of his "Good behavior". Situation is somewhat suspicious, but on the upside the prison is running smoothly and guards are getting in good shape and well-disciplined. Continue to monitor and allow the monk to continue training, or have the monk taken care of?
